Not some bland chicken and rice! I did have to sit down and eat some in front of him first though. After that? He tore in!

Birddog’s Birddog is getting back to normal!

Nice one mate. Glad to hear he’s improving.

I didn’t realize Vader was having a hard time. Glad he’s on the mend though.

It was bad. I honestly thought he was going to die Saturday or Sunday. I really don’t even remember most of last week. It was Coffee and Monster all week. I didn’t sleep at all from the 18th to the 24th. I’ve lost good Dogs in the past, one to age (16 years old!) and one to a bad Vet (6 years old) and I am not ready for a third. Rescued Dogs as good as Lloyd are rare.

I’m glad he pulled through. I was impressed by him when I met you two.

He’s definitely my better half. The Doc thought something was wrong because he was “too mellow”. It took a lot of explaining on how he is that mellow all the time. He was too-too mellow.

I got a big laugh from the Doc when she grabbed his hairy hangers and asked if they are normally that big. Yeah. He’s well endowed, almost comically.

Haha!

I had a similar experience about the mellowness when I took my 3-year old to the clinic last week for a flu shot. The Doc kept telling me to hold her tighter and tighter. Of course when the needle went in, the kid didn’t move an inch and only let out a tiny whimper.

Flu shot?? Gaa!! Are you trying to give that kid herpesyphalidtisim??

Kidding. Pediatricians have a reason to overact.

I had to get the flu shot and a Hep booster at work.(It’s happening or you’re you’re fired.)

I felt like a kid again and not in a good way.

A flu shot and hep booster when you work at a hospital makes good sense. A flu shot when you work at a middle school is pretty solid practice as well.

I have no problem getting shots, but I have to look away. Emma, on the other hand, looked right at it. The kid is tough.

Can’t deny that. Schools especially. Hospitals are the worst places. Long story.

Heck of a kid for sure! I couldn’t look. The needle was only 2" long after the Doc pulled her snips out and clipped it (I may be overacting here). She should be out and popping wheelies in no time!

I have a source for old Honda “Monkey” bikes.

Haha, my wife would murder me if I bought her a bike already ... but those Monkeys are super cool....

They sell “glider” bikes for kids to avoid the whole “training wheels” thing. Nurture the lack of fear!

Yeah, balance bikes. I found a regular girls bike with training wheels on the curb for her, and she’s been having a hard time with it. Not out of fear, just the mechanics of pedaling forward, and not backward. Every time she gets going, she moves her feet backward a few inches and the coaster brake stops her. I’ve been thinking of taking off the training wheels and the pedals, and trying the balance bike method.
